Please help us understand why we're finding nursing home residents with business accounts, 800 numbers and $225 5000/minute long distance plans?  Why are customers being shipped DSL equipment who do not own computers?  Why are we hung up on or transferred unless we're calling to buy?  Does the company hire from work-release programs, or is it that you have to lie, cheat and steal from customers to keep your job?

I am a former employee, and judging from this website, nothing has changed since I worked there. Trust me, I've been to the PSC, FCC, senators, congressmen, Attorney Generals,  etc and there is nothing that can be done to AT&T; they've contributed to far too many political campaigns, their pockets are too deep; no one will do anything about what is happening to AT&T customers. AT&T is dumping millions of dollars into advertising, so none of the networks or newspapers will expose what's going on, so good luck, but the company is untouchable. When you go to the PSC and these agencies, they see you as "sour grapes" (as an ex employee), so that's their excuse for doing nothing to protect consumers. I hope someone somewhere has the kahunas to take on what I feel is the equivalent of Enron in the telecommunications industry....I'm not sure who'll that'll be since the regulatory agencies won't do it.  The company operates on churn - slam & cram - suck the money out of customers as long as you can - and pray to God no one reads or understands their bills, and if they do discover they're being ripped off, AT&T will give you a credit to go away - a/k/a hush money.  It's been going on since they were sued for slamming inside wire maintenance on accounts back in the '80's -  the slamming has never stopped - the company policy for sales and sales quotas is what sets all of this in motion and they know it - the terminology has changed, but the practices remain the same....read your bills....and don't expect an honest answer if you're foolish enough to call AT&T and ask a rep what you can do to save money!!!  You better figure it out, because the rep sure won't tell you especially since it will go against them if you end up taking something off.

Due to my recent negative experience, I would like to hear about your experiences plus other AT&T employees, especially those in Georgia. I am located in Cobb County. Please direct your emails to tclann@abestinsures.com
